The scripture says that the Lord speaks in mysterious ways: The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy 29:29 God speaks through worship as well; but it must first be revealed.
However, this article will discuss how He spoke to me through worship music. Worshiping God is not just a commandment, but an act of love, passion and desire that should come from within you. A desire to exalt God’s name in gratefulness for everything He gives you; for giving you free will. He is not just love, but also our best friend, partner, lawyer, doctor etc. He sees it all, hears it all and knows it all. There is nothing out there that you may have done which He won’t know about.
If that’s so, why do you go through so much pain? Easy response: To mold you, shape you, strengthen you etc.
There are times where the issue goes on and on; where it may seem as you’ve been tortured or not cared for by God. However, that’s not what’s truly going on. God is always working behind the scene and it’s up to you to open your spiritual eyes to see what’s really going on.
God Speaks Through Worship
Back in 2018, for the thousand time, I said: ” Lord, I can’t anymore Lord! I don’t know what else to do! It seems as if everything I do is wrong! I’ve gotten back up and I’m still failing ; letting my family down. It is not possible, this has been pointed out to me; that’s not what happened. This situation that just happened is horrendous. All I want to do is serve you, love you and wait for you. That’s all I’ve been wanting for the last 10 years! What do you want from me? What is it Lord? I’ll do whatever it is you want from me; just tell me!”
While hysterically crying, I threw myself on the ground as I listened to worship in the background and waited to hear God speak. Then there it occurred:
"Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders Let me walk upon the waters Wherever You would call me Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander And my faith will be made stronger In the presence of my Saviour"
It then hit me: “You will not grow if you remain there. You’ve been detained from your spiritual growth. If you truly desire to know me more, to take you deeper than your feet can ever wonder, so your faith can be made stronger, then leave this congregation and find one that will take you deeper.” There it is; God speaks through worship.
So I did. I sought for about a few months trying to find one when the following happened…
While my mother was doing an errand through a plaza, she heard loud worship music coming from one of the doors. It was so loud, she opened the door and there it happened again: God speaks through worship. She then discovered this congregation which was actually in front of the one I had just left; so we tried it out.

The Encounter
It was tiny and beautiful; three girls dancing with flags and strings, the music flowing, tambourines, guitars, drums and piano. This is it. Yes!
The worship lyrics had been so clear and transparent; it was the environment I encountered with while assisting a prayer group in my mid 20’s. The message couldn’t get more transparent while listening to the lyrics of the song the girls were dancing to: I am free; a song about breaking chains, overcoming, being free etc.
You see, dancing to worship was one of many things I’d get in trouble for at the previous congregation; among with other things. I later learned that it’s not their fault to have a legalistic mindset. Their spiritual eyes aren’t fully open.
However, while the pastor began to preach,I thought to myself: “Oh no. This is the pastor? Please don’t tell me this is him. Look at him with his fat big mustache and speech. Ugh, how annoying. He looks like those people who wear mariachi hats.”
Oh, did the Lord immediately hush me and said to my spirit: “Yes, it’s him and who do you think you are to judge, if you’ve been judged for the last 10 years. You should know better.” Unfortunately, we judge without thinking.
I have the best pastors anyone could ever have. I am oh so very grateful with God for placing them in my hands. They are one of a kind!
GOD Has His Timing
I am so grateful with God for all the pain I had to encounter the first years of my salvation. I learned what not to do. My spiritual senses and capacities were discovered in my eyes, I found my identity in Christ. One thing is discovering it, another is applying it; something I’ve done through this ministry of deliverance.
So you see, God has a perfect timing for everything and it’s up to us to listen to what he’s trying to say. God speaks through worship, scripture, prayer and much more. So if you feel stuck, just pray and ask God to help you listen to his message. Disposition your heart in order to listen and understand the way God speaks to you.

Hey God is such a fascinating topic. Especially could relate to the timing part of this. I heard once a quote which was “it will happen at the right time not your time. In the right way not your way. ” But I think that would apply more to manifesting. I think there’s definitely power in prayer but at the same time the universe has its own agenda. Have a good day.
